Gear Reviews
Side-by-side gear comparisons built on official specs, dated, with independent reviews and recall checks.
Every comparison here is built the same way, so you can trust what a table says and know where it came from.
How we compare
- Official specs, dated. Weights, sizes, ratings, and prices come from the maker's own product page or manual, with the date we checked. Prices are approximate. When a retailer or a hands-on test disagrees with the maker, we say so.
- Picks need backing. Any "best" or "budget pick" call needs at least two independent reviews or clear long-term owner consensus. If we only have one, we say that instead.
- Recalls checked. For saddles, sticks, and platforms, we check the CPSC recall list and the maker's pages, and report what we find.
- Tradeoffs, not marketing. Maker claims are labeled as maker claims. What you give up at each price is spelled out.
- No affiliate links yet. Links go to Amazon, a retailer, or the maker, with no tag. This site earns nothing from them. See the disclosure and how we review.
